Fairhaven is a not for profit organisation that has been working with families on the Central Coast since 1962. We provide supports, services and opportunities to help enrich the lives of people living with a disability.
We are dependent upon the generosity of community-minded people and extremely grateful for the time and effort provided by all volunteers. We could not continue to do what we do without you!
We have a variety of volunteer positions available to suit a range of skills and interests:
- op shop sales assistants
- second hand furniture sales
- book shop assistants and sorters
- sorting donations
- furniture pick ups and delivery
- experienced makers for crafting and woodworking
- upcycling arts and crafts with people with disabilities
- building maintenance
- admin and marketing support.
Your volunteering can help make a difference to someone’s life.
Contribute as much or as little time as you can afford; we are grateful for any assistance, even a few hours per month. We have over 50 volunteers at Fairhaven and are always keen to meet more!

I enjoy the people I get to work with who are lovely and the variety of items that come in. I’m getting lots of great experience in retail as well.
